Attorney Profile

Paula Wegman is a partner with Adler Murphy & McQuillen LLP specializing in representing clients in a variety of general and commercial aviation disputes and litigation. Her current practice has been focused on counseling and representing commercial airlines, both major and regional, in a wide array of claims and litigation arising from their operations. Paula is experienced in the myriad of issues faced by commercial airlines, including the application of federal regulations, emergency response planning, family assistance in the event of a disaster, and overall claims management. Paula's 16-year legal career has also included extensive experience defending manufacturers of aircraft, avionics, and component parts against wrongful death, personal injury, premises liability, and product liability. Paula has litigated a wide variety of cases in both state and federal courts across theUnited States. Paula has tried, with co-counsel, several complex cases on behalf of defendants with successful results.

Additionally, Paula is experienced in working with clients to resolve cases via methods other than traditional litigation, including mediation and arbitration. 

Paula is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association and served as a chairperson for its Aviation Law Committee from 2006-2008. She is also a member of the International Aviation Women's Association (IAWA) and the Justinian Society of Lawyers.
