John Kelly is a partner at Adler Murphy & McQuillen LLP and concentrates his practice in aviation litigation, general products liability litigation, transportation litigation, and commercial litigation. He has represented individuals and organizations in all areas of the aerospace community, including pilots, airlines, maintenance facilities and numerous component manufacturers. John has appeared in various state and federal jurisdictions throughout the country and has worked on matters involving foreign courts and tribunals. He has tried a number jury and bench trials to verdict, and he has obtained very successful results in a variety of alternative dispute resolution forums.

In addition to his extensive aviation practice, John has represented railroads in various FELA claims, personal injury claims, trespasser claims, and major railroad crossing accident litigation.

John has presented speeches in the aviation law community on topics such as the use of demonstrative evidence in an aviation trial, the anatomy of an aviation case through trial, and recent developments in the area of aviation law.

John is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association. He is also an active member of the Defense Research Institute and Aviation Insurance Association.

John grew up and lives in the western suburbs of Chicago with his wife and two daughters.
