Jim Koehler is an partner with Adler Murphy & McQuillen LLP. He concentrates his practice in various areas of civil litigation, including but not limited to cases involving contracts, fraud, construction, products liability, wrongful death, survival actions, amputations, property damage, the Dram Shop Act, the Nursing Home and Care Act, multi-state litigation matters, real estate, estate disputes, and personal injury matters. He represents clients in state and federal courts in addition to alternative dispute forums. Jim has also represented numerous clients in appellate court matters.

Jim was one of the trial attorneys that successfully defended the operator of a sanitary waste facility through trial in a $40 million lawsuit brought under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act. He was also one of the trial attorneys that obtained a defense verdict for a major oil company in a $32 million lawsuit involving significant head injuries and brought by one of Chicago's preeminent plaintiff's firms. Moreover, Jim represented the general contractor in a $10 million property damage claim resulting from the Holy Name Cathedral fire in Chicago. Finally, Jim has represented numerous contractors in a variety of matters in litigation.
